The Sacrament of Marriage
We are delighted that you are considering St Peter’s for your wedding ceremony – a very important day in your shared lives. Marriage is the holy sacrament through which two persons enter into a life-long union, exchange their vows before God and the Church, and receive the grace and blessing of God before family, friends, and members of the congregation gathered to witness and pray. The wedding service in St. Peter’s Church is solemnized by a priest using the rites of the Episcopal Church.
Every couple preparing to be married at St. Peter’s must receive counseling from a member of the clergy. Weddings are usually not held during Lent or Advent seasons as it is not traditional to hold festive liturgies unless there is an immediate compelling reason to do so.
St Peter’s is happy to assist you in the planning for this very important day in your life. Please contact the St Peter’s office to arrange to meet with our Clergy and begin planning this important day. (520) 836-7693
